    Simple strawberry banana smoothie recipe?

    I really want to make myself a strawberry banana smoothie. I have yogurt, ice, honey, strawberries(not frozen), and bananas. If anyone has an easy and simple recipe that would be great. Thanks!

      Why do my home made smoothies taste bland in comparison to a smoothie shop's?

      I use frozen strawberries, frozen cut up bananas, plain fat-free yogurt, tsp vanilla extract, tbsp sugar, 1/2 cup skim milk, and 1/4 cup pineapple juice.

      It comes out the right consistency for sure, but the flavor isn’t right. It tastes bland and kind of sour. Any ideas to make it more tasty or to make the flavors blend and/or pop more like a restaurant style smoothie?

        everyday i make a fruit smoothie with: bananas, frozen strawberries, fat free yogurt and some uncooked oatmeal. is that bad for me? will it make me sick?

          breakfast milkshake/smoothie….?

          Hi, Im looking for a balanced, nutritious, filling milkshake/smoothie recipe for breakfast….at least 15-20grams protein and 200-300 calories…

          Here’s the ingredients I have on hand….I can use any combination.

          Eggs
          Cottage cheese
          chocolate whey protein concentrate
          frozen blueberries
          frozen strawberries
          milk
          vanilla yogurt
          honey
          bananas
          peanut butter
          milk

          any ideas??? something with only a few ingredients would be best!!

            Do I have a healthy life style?

            (mental and physical),I wear shape up sneakers(not sketchers danskin), I always eat healthy (fruits, veggies, beans, quinoa, sprouted rice, sometimes pizza or pasta BUT NOT THE GREASY DELIVERY KIND the frozen pizza, eggs, yogurt, etc.) and don’t over do desserts and I don’t eat desserts like twinkies or ho-hos or any kind of snack cake, Sometimes I eat fruits like blue berries and bananas or a greek yogurt parfait instead of dessert, I eat usually eggs or oat meal for breakfast sometimes waffles, I usually get at least 30 minutes a day of exercise unless I’m sick or just feel lazy and tired that day but if I feel good I will get at least 30 minutes a day of exercise, but in the summer I swim at least an hour a day so I’m in better shape in the summer, I’m on my computer with my pet cockatiel a good bit, I play with my hamster and other pets too, and I also get on skype and talk to my friend who lives in the UK, I don’t watch much TV, I prefer video games (wii), and the computer (I mostly get on wikipedia to find out things, skype to talk to people, youtube to watch videos, Windows movie maker to make videos and upload them to youtube, Amazon.com and a few other sites to shop, and I sometimes just surf the web) to TV, but I don’t stay in my room all day, I try to get at least 8 hours of sleep, I Like to paint, draw, make movies, play video games, play with my pets, go outside, go out, swim, etc. And BTW do shape ups help tone you at all?
            I’m a vegetarian too

                How to make a Low cal smoothie Thick?

                Ok so i’m really interested in making a healthy smoothie thick. By low cal, I dont just mean using semi healthy things like yogurt, milk, and fruit,

                I’m talking LOW CAL. And just a reminder, BANANAS are NOT Low cal or carb!
                I want lowest carb possible so things like frozen berries are good, and ive used them.

                But is there like a secret ingredient that the coffee shops or that anyone else knows of and uses to make "Low cal shake" get "thick"?

                Like, ive tried almondmilk with flavoring and then ice, but the ice just gets chunky and doesnt mix with the almondmilk cause its watery.

                Is there something, a base, powder, or SOMETHING (besides bananas, people!) I can use to make it thick without adding a crapload of carbs or calories?

                  Does anyone have a dairy-free fruit smoothie recipe?

                  I am so wanting a smoothie right now but i don’t have any dairy products like yogurt, milk, ice cream etc. and i can’t find a recipe that doesn’t use those in it. I do have pineapple chunks (frozen and canned) strawberries, a bag of cut bananas, and some coconut juice and apple juice. As well as ice. Do you know of a recipe that’s GOOD using these things?
